Thanks for another wonderful week at Brooke Cottage, the views are fantastic and the furnishings and wonderful large bed and bath were wonderful after 3 long walks. As usual the wildlife both from Brooke Cottage and the whole island have been fantastic, we have seen otters, golden eagles, white tail sea eagles, turnstone and many, many more. We thank you for the lovely Mull goodie basket.
September 2011 – Derwent, West Yorkshire
Absolutely fantastic place to stay. First time on Mull for me, but have come with my sister who came last year and loved it. Spotted sea eagles, hen harriers and otters from the window. The house is one of the best holiday homes we have ever stayed in and we will definitely be back.
September 2011- Marsh, Cambridgeshire
Thank you for the warm welcome and making the cottage so comfortable. We had an excellent week. You hardly need to leave the cottage as the wildlife comes here.
August/September 2011 – Worcester family
What an amazing place to stay. We saw harriers just across the water, along the ridge, sea eagles flying over the bay and across the house, a sparrow hawk sat on the telegraph pole & gate, a seal swimming up the brook and an osprey close up on the bridge. Truly amazing. The cottage is lovely & comfortable, with amazing views and well-equipped. The welcome basket was a lovely touch. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
August 2011 – Hand, Warwickshire
Well, we have had a fantastic week. Beautiful cottage and ideal to totally relax and watch the wildlife. Our first afternoon didn’t disappoint with the otter right outside, it is so quiet here you could hear him crunching the crabs. Then we saw the sea eagle fly past! This was our 1st visit to Mull but certainly won’t be the last. Thanks for everything Sue. 76 species of birds in total – I think that equals someone else in the guest book. This is truly a wonderful place. Best holiday yet.
August 2011 – Banham, Hertfordshire
We have enjoyed this, our first visit to Mull and we have managed to walk a fair amount. The cottage has proved to be ideal – lovely position, very spacious, with every comfort. Splendid picture windows. Thank you for your kind and thoughtful hospitality – including the complimentary basket.

The cottage is very comfortable with lovely touches like the underfloor heating in the bathroom. We had a lovely relaxing time with our two teenagers and enjoyed the walks and wildlife. Thanks.

We had a lovely time and particularly enjoyed the house – it’s location, it’s spaciousness and the view (from every room!). We can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We were lucky enough to see an otter on the first morning. We also saw otters, sea eagles, hen harriers, puffins & lots of other sea birds. Many thanks.

Couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable, well appointed or warm stay and the surroundings have been every bit as welcoming.. Brooke Cottage is in pole position. Thank you for a tremendous welcome and a fabulous place to base ourselves.
27 May – 3 Jun 2011, McDonald / Kelly, North Lanarkshire
We have had a super, relaxing time in this lovely warm, comfortable cottage. Many thanks Susan for the goodie basket and for your warm welcome at the start of the week. The visit has been great for wildlife. Lots of birds and ducks .. siskins, greenfinch, chaffinch, dunnocks, house sparrows, great tits, blue tits, tufted duck, merganser, eider duck, mallard and 3 eagles together just up from Ulva Ferry road. We watched them for about an hour. Flora is great too, especially the carpets of pink thrift and the bluebells.

30 Apr – 7 May 2011, Townsleys, West Midlands
We have had a wonderful week here, warm and sunny every day but one! We had breakfast outside on the deck 5 mornings, watching the herons fishing in the loch. The house is a real home from home and we will be sad to leave. It is extremely comfortable and well equipped and in a perfect location to explore this beautiful island. After a day of walking, birdwatching etc, Brooke Cottage is a wonderful place to return to and continue to enjoy the wildlife across the loch. Thank you Sue for a great holiday home and the attention to detail is much appreciated.
23 – 30 April 2011, Snodins, Nottingham
The location is excellent for exploring the island. The views are incredible. This has been our first visit to Mull and will definitely be back. A week just is not long enough. A visit to Lunga is a must, especially to see the puffins. The weather has been excellent for walking and wildlife watching, we never expected to have such a warm and sunny week. Thank you.
9 – 16 April 2011, Mason / Eccles, Monmouthshire
Everything lived up to our expectations and beyond. It was just wonderful. Saw otters, seals and 76 species of birds. Island beautiful, sad to be leaving but we will be back. Couldn't ask for more in the house, fantastic base for exploring all of the island, which we did. The sea eagle trip is a must, has to be one of the most magnificent sights I have ever seen in my life. The night sounds are just fantastic, especially one night when a couple of otters chased each other around the garden.
12 – 18 March 2011, Tutcheners, Warwickshire

Today 17th March, otter swimming up the river into the loch. Excellent equipment all over the house.

We have come to Mull to watch eagles displaying before they go to nest. We have seen 3 golden eagles flying together, plus others, white tailed, carrying nesting material, calling. The cottage is perfect, the best equipped we have ever stayed in, 10/10 for bathroom cupboard.
